Trail 1: BeginnerDescription: This beginner classic trail is mostly flat, with one significant hill and a few gentle slopes. There is a narrow skate surface as well, but is best for shorter skiers with a short stride. 4 km long.
Last Groomed: March 21 Current Condition: Skate: Satisfactory Classic: Excellent

Trail 2: Intermediate
Description: This intermediate trail is the widest trail and is groomed for skate as well as classic. It is a great trail to learn skate technique as it starts with a gentle decline. There are a few significant hills, but they can often be bypassed if they are a concern, and if they are not enough, there are many opportunities to jump onto trail 3 for more thrills (for example, look for the yellow skis at the 2/3 cutoff). 6 km long.
Last Groomed: Feb 11 Current Condition: Skate: Satisfactory Classic: Excellent

Trail 3: AdvancedDescription: This expert trail is groomed for skate and classic. It is full of challenging hills with beautiful scenery (Lake Escape is a great example). The sign says 10km, but it has been cut down to 6km in recent years.
Last Groomed: Feb 11 Current Condition: Skate: Satisfactory Classic: Excellent

2/3 CutoffIn recent years we have added the 2/3 cutoff which is used for the 5km Loppet Loop. It was necessary at a time when trails 2 and 3 were completely separate from each other and we needed trail that was a combination of the two. However, with the north pole loop removed, it has become necessary for trail 3 to utilize a small part of trail 2 anyway, so now this sign really just indicates where trail 2 and 3 split.

Trail 4: DoggieDescription: This trail is unique in that dog-owners can bring their dogs along for a run. We do allow skijoring, but anyone doing so is expected to respect the other patrons. We do not allow dog-sledding. Dogs are not required to be on leash, but are expected to be well-socialized as they will likely encounter others.
Last Groomed: Feb 11 Current Condition: Classic: Excellent

Trail Map:
Beware of potential inaccuracies. They were traced in on Google Maps where trail was visible. However, in a few spots, the trail was not visible and so the trail was sketched in according to our best estimation.
Green = trail 1
Blue = trail 2
Red = trail 3
Black trails indicate former loops that have been removed from Trail 3.
Orange trails indicate the snowshoe trail which has removed the southern component. The orange trail was sketched entirely and is not to scale south of cemetery road. It will certainly have some inaccuracies.
Yellow trails are for the doggie ski trail (trail 4) and are on private property with our permission. The yellow trail was sketched entirely by estimation and is not to scale. It will certainly have some inaccuracies.
