Picture
The Iroquois Falls Cross-Country Ski Club was established in 1973 by several individuals, most notably Allan Cashmore who was club president for over 40 years. Throughout that time, Allan dedicated thousands of hours to the club. The photo on the left was taken around 2017.

Trails were established starting in the general area and extended out to Rice Lake. Trails 1-3 are on crown land with a land-use permit. Trail number 4 is on the old Cashmore property which remains privately owned and is designated for dogs to run on.

In gratitude of his work, a special dedication to Allan is scheduled for March 26.

A major ice storm in the fall off 2022 brought down over 500 trees on the trail system alone and may have brought the season to a halt. Thankfully, the community responded to a call for help and the trails were cleared.
